Dyne.org Google Summer of Code 2010: Student Application
Table of Contents
Introduction
Dyne.org applies as a mentor organization for GSoC2010. This document describes how you can apply as a student for one of the project ideas.
Sending Your Application
Please read this carefully! The application process is pretty simple and straightforward, so we will simply ignore applications that don't fit that very small set of constraints. If you're unable to complete that step properly, we won't take the risk of having someone so careless on the team.
-
Your application must be sent as a Plain Text email:
- To: Dyne GSoC2010 *<gsoc - lists.dyne.org>*
- Subject: must start with [application]
- This document is available as Plain Text so you can copy-paste the Application Template section.
- You should join the mailing-list and the IRC channel (that is also available via XMPP or PSYC), for any questions you may have, to get acquainted with the network and to follow up your application. Consult the contact section of the Dyne application.
You may also refer to GSoC FAQ on Student Applications.
Thank You For Your Interest!
We're looking forward to hearing from you soon. If you have any doubts, chime in on IRC and spell them out!

Footnotes:
1 So we can identify you when you join #dyne
2 You can put "email" or "IRC" or an XMPP address, etc.
3 Your University and program, or your current job position and company, or your current Free Software project if you're a core member.
4 You can have a look at the ideas page or come up with your own proposal.
5 We are mainly located in Europe, although our effective TZ is rather flexible. But it's important that mentors and students can match at least some waking hours together.
