Support us doing free software

Je ne parle pas logique, je parle generosite' - Andre' Breton

Dyne.org software is being distributed and used widely all around the world, people can copy it and even sell it.
There is no business behind it: there is generosity.

Donate money

Even small donations can help us a lot, small transactions are easy via Paypal:

Any money you will donate will go for a legal non-profit foundation
and will be spent according to our goals and philosophy.

More than one person is dedicating a life to these projects, your solidarity is welcome

We would like to dedicate more time to development, to involve more people documenting and improving the software.

Donate hardware

You are welcome to donate us working hardware: machines that we can test our software with, platforms that we can support, cpus we can cluster and devices we can make use of, all well accepted!

And even obsolete hardware that can be still put in use: such things can be valuable in some less fortunate places of the world, impossible to afford for an hacker developing free software and living a modest life.

The Computer Museum on the island of Sicily is one of the places where dyne.org becomes physical as Poetry Hacklab. Hackers gather to share knowledge and passion recycling computers and preserving them functioning, for fun and education. Exemplars as VAX, Data General Eclipse, AppleII/c and PDP/11 are kept operational and able to recover data from mass storage.
And there is even a retro DECnet :)

If you are willing to send us an hardware donation, please contact us with a description of the hardware you like to give.

Donate bandwidth: become a mirror

If you have a hosting facility for internet services, you can help us making our software available in all the world by setting up a mirror of dyne.org.
You can use rsync(1) and crontab(P) to keep your mirror up to date with all the latest software we publish, just include something like this in your cron:

00 6 * * * rsync --delete -r rsync.dyne.org::freej            /mirrors/dyne/freej
10 6 * * * rsync --delete -r rsync.dyne.org::muse             /mirrors/dyne/muse
20 6 * * * rsync --delete -r rsync.dyne.org::hasciicam        /mirrors/dyne/hasciicam
30 6 * * * rsync --delete -r rsync.dyne.org::dynebolic-latest /mirrors/dyne/dynebolic
Such a full mirror will occupy approximatey 1GB on your harddisk, while it is possible that it grows up to 2GB in future.

And once you are done with setup, let us know.
